a 7 lb. 11 oz., 19 inch baby boy! Jonathan Michael was born July 25th at 4:25pm MDT after approximately 18 hours of labor. Heather and baby are doing great and as such we have come home after a brief stay at the hospital.
Everyone is awaiting anxiously for photos of the little guy (or as we call him ‘J-MO’) so here are just a few that I’ve taken over the past few days. Photographing newborns has turned out to be a challenge since the flash makes them jumpy.
Jonathan is getting settled in his new home and enjoying some serenity whenever the dogs allow for it. In the coming days, we’ll get out more details and pictures to the point of oversatuating our friends and family.
Thanks to everyone for their calls and emails congratulating us on this miracle. It has been one of the most cherished times in our lives.
With baby’s due date still pointing to a July 23rd arrival, we’re as ready as we’re going to be. It is a very exciting time in the Ollom household with all the preparation going on. Some of this preparation has been in the form of a few baby classes including infant CPR. It is a very handy class to take not only for its refresher of CPR, but also for handling choking and other safety issues that can occur with small one.
The only ones probably not prepared are the dogs. They believe (esp. Sierra) all the changes that have been occuring around the household have been to their benefit as you can see below.
