For our first wedding anniversary we headed down 285 to Como where we took Boreas pass over to Breckenridge. The aspen leaves were peaking and the drive was peaceful except for a gentleman who thought it was a good idea to take his BMW Z4 roadster convertible down a unpaved mountain road.

Here are some pics of our trip that we took with my new Canon PowerShot SD790IS.

(Thanks again M, I love my anniversary gift)

When we were married last year on the 28th of September; we couldn’t wait for our life together to begin. Who knew at the time that it would be a year filled with new life experiences.

For our Honeymoon we flew to Europe for a two week cruise in the Mediterranean. Neither of us had been to Europe and we thought that we better go before we had kids.

Good thing we did since we had to buy a pregnancy test along with the turkey for Thanksgiving.

In December we had to deal with the tragic loss Sable Anna Banana. After 14 years of supervising Michael she was finally at peace knowing that he was happy, had a wife that loved him dearly and a new baby on the way.  She is still deeply missed today.

March 2008 we welcomed the seismic activity we know now as Sierra into our home and ruined Sippewisset’s life forever.

In June after training for countless months in the pool, on the bike and on the treadmill, Michael accomplished one of his personal goals. He completed the 5430 Sprint Triathlon in less than 2 hours.

As we celebrate our first anniversary I can’t help to think about the lyrics from our first dance; Van Morrison – “Someone Like You”.

But just lately I have realised the best is yet to come.

Thank you Michael for the life that we have built together and I cherish everyday. And for our beautiful son that you have given me.

Happy Anniversary. I love you. Always and forever. -H

Jonathan’s new discovered talent this week is wrestling Pooh Bear.
