At the end of September we flew out to Sacramento to visit family and to celebrate our second anniversary. On Saturday we hung out at the Wulff’s and met our new niece Madeleine. Julie and Marcus dropped by for dinner after a long day of scuba diving and Wilma and Grandmother Crosslin made the trip down from Reno.

On Sunday we headed to Tiburon where JMO enjoyed watching the harbor seals play in the wa-wa (water), looking at the palm trees and using his new words “Uh-oh” as his kiddy lunch was being thrown on the floor at Sam’s Anchor Café.

Later that afternoon we drove to Napa where we stayed the night in the Embassy Suites where they had resident swans, turtles and ducks in the courtyard. We ventured out the next morning without a plan and a map highlighted with too many wineries to visit. We took a detour to Yountville where JMO insisted on pushing the buggy around the V Marketplace 1870 courtyard.

We headed up the road to the V. Sattui winery and shared a sampling of red wines and picnicked on the front lawn as the wine train went by.
