Happy 11 Months Old  to Me 6.25.2009 

 

JMO’s official tooth count at 11 months is 3. Last night Michael and I were privileged to see JMO stand 2 seconds all alone before he clapped and realized that he was no longer holding on to couch. He is constantly on the move, grooves out to Bunnytown, is feeding himself Cheerios and does the cutest hand motion over his heart to show you where it is.

This weekend JMOtriedtwo things new this weekend; standing in grass and sticking his toes into rain puddles. We got the same reaction for both new experiences. 

Happy 10 Months Old to Me 5.25.2009 

 

JMO is officially on the move; crawling everywhere and pulling himself to stand. He loves to get a hold of Daddy’s shoes, holds the remote control while watching Bunnytown, his favorite food is bread and he tolerates us “brusha-brusha” his 2 teeth. This past weekend we upgraded to a larger car-seat since he has outgrown the original and his newest talent is holding a cup and drinking out of it.

Happy 3/4 Birthday to Me 4.25.2009 

 

Yesterday we had our 9 month check up and JMOisofficially18lbs 3.5oz (25% percentile) 27 3/4 inches (25% percentile and time to upgrade to a bigger car seat) and without saying the specifications we have a big head (90% percentile). He currently can stand for 5 seconds without help, loves clapping when he is happy and is quickly becoming good friends with Sierra. (Especially since she gets all the leftover Cheerios)

As of this weekend JMO has another tooth that sprouted.  The offical count is now 2 bottom teeth.

Happy 8 Months to Me 3.25.09

At 8 months of age JMOisquitethe flirt with the ladies, is practicing standing, learned  at school to shake his head back and forth, has a short temper tantrum 15 minutes before he is hungry or tired and is busting out of his 9  months clothes. His first tooth showed up 1 day before today and his hair color changes from blond/brown/red depending on the lighting.

At 7 months JMOloves looking at himself in the mirror after his diaper change, is constantly bouncing when he sits or is held, can hold his own bottle but prefers Mom or Dad to do it, loves to eat vegetables and will tolerate fruit with rice cereal.

On Monday night were shocked to hear sounds from JMO that sounded like “what”. Otherwise; he is insistent on saying “Da-Da-Da”.

It’s official; per JMO’sreport card from school this week he has mastered sitting and is now on to practicing standing with help. As for crawling; he doesn’t seem too interested and we anticipate that he will skip it altogether and start walking.

Over the long holiday weekend Jonathan figured out how to pull off his socks and play with his toes. After fighting to keep his socks on and finding him on Saturday morning with his right foot out of his footie jammies (he pulled open the snapped crotch) we decided to invest in his first pair of Robeez.  His first shoes have fun little blue and orange monsters with belly buttons on them which he loves admiring.

This past weekend we put together the high chair and ventured into the new realm of solid foods. He wasn’t totally turned off by the texture of rice cereal but he wasn’t over joyed by it either. We will be sure to post the video soon.
