Happy 17 Months Old to Me 12.25.09
At 17 months JMO is on the fast track to learning. He is able to pronounce and remember new words in a few days, sing a few lyrics from his favorite songs, put his own hat on and help feed the dogs. This month he has had problems sleeping through the night and refusing food which we are attributing to the 5 new teeth that have sprung up in December.

Give me your Blackberry so I can take some pictures 12.17.09
Jonathan has this talent of taking my Blackberry and taking pictures by himself now. As you can see from his shots below this is going to cause problems when Dad needs to secretly stop at certain stores.
Happy 16 Months Old to Me 11.25.09
At 16 months we have seen many developmental changes in JMO. He has just started combining two words together, is starting to recognize colors and associate names with them, can put away his coat in his school cubby, helps us put away canned items in the pantry, and can communicate which video he wants to watch or which song he wants to dance to. He is also perfecting feeding himself with a fork and continues to be a great eater.

Happy 15 Months Old to Me 10.25.09
Last week we took JMO to his 15 month appointment, he now weights 22lbs (14th percentile) and is 33 3/8 inches long (99th percentile). This past month he has learned to crawl on (and fall off) the couch, blow bubbles in the pool, to hide the remote control in his toy box, yell at the television when there is football on and is a “Daddy’s boy” most of the time. After our trip to California he gave up drinking out of the bottle and having a pacifier at night. His favorite food right now is graham crackers and he has not yet acquired the taste for pumpkin pie. This month he has also become very interested in farm animals and likes to make horse, cow and sheep noises. His favorite book is Not the Hippopotamus and Barnyard Dance By Sandra Boynton and he loves to watch Ooh and Aah sing the Monkey Day song on Playhouse Disney .JMO is fully transitioned into his new Toddler’s room after a little bit of separation anxiety. He enjoys playing in gross motors (the inside playground) as well as the sand box outside, singing the Baby Bumble Bee song, and painting in school. He also has a new little friend that likes to hold his hand and rub his bald head.

At 14 months, JMO has given up crawling and now walks everywhere. He loves to go up and down the stairs, watching Pocoyo in the car on our way to school and giggles at “Hey Batter-Batter”. His favorite thing to eat right now is yogurt melts and he has decided that Grandma Daly style spaghetti is alright. This month he added on to his vocabulary with “car” and “light” (that sounds more like “lah”) and October 5th will be his first day in the Toddler room with Ms. Tiffany.
